Dr. Aaron Cohen DVM

Owner, Veterinarian

A native of Jacksonville Florida, Dr. Aaron Cohen’s first pet was a baby chick by the name of “Peep-Peep”, who eventually grew up to be a rooster. After that, he pretty much stuck to just cats and dogs.

Dr. Cohen attended the University of Florida, Gainesville where he studied animal science and psychology. Shortly thereafter, he transferred to Northeastern University in Boston. He completed his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine at Ross University, St. Kitts in the West Indies.

After serving in an internship program at the Massachusetts Society for Prevention of Cruelty to Animals in Springfield, Mass, Dr. Cohen settled in with Porter Square Veterinarians of Somerville for the next seven years. Deciding to start his own practice, Dr. Cohen began an exhaustive search that would bring him from the East Coast to the West Coast.

Dr. Cohen bought Peninsula Animal Hospital in December of 2010. He is active in the American Veterinary Medical Association, California Veterinary Medical Association, and the Monterey Bay Veterinary Medical Association. In his free time, he enjoys hiking, biking and conversing with his cats.

Being at PAH she is excited to see every pet come through the door and will give them the best care that they deserve. Jeanine treats everyone and every pet with compassion and is joy to work with. In her free time you can find Jeanine spending time with her family and frenchie Rocky, reading a book, or playing video games.

Brenda says, “I’m still growing as an RVT because I care about the quality of treatment I provide for your pets. I love this career, and I hope my work reflects it.”

Brenda’s dog, Harley, spends time at her mother’s house in Arizona. Brenda loves all dogs and cats that come in as her patients! She has an interest in surgery and surgical procedure management.

With a deep love for animals, her passion and future goal is to be involved in animal rescue, striving to create a world where every animal can live happily. She currently cares for two cats. After losing her beloved dog and one of her cats in early 2024, she has been looking forward to the day she can bring a new dog into her home and heart.

Gabriela

Technician Assistant

Gabriela joined us the summer of 2025. In her words: “I have had a love for animals for as long as I can remember — but it really started with my childhood dog, Winston. Taking care of him and growing up with him helped me realize how special the bond between people and their pets is, and it made me want to be a part of helping animals live long, healthy lives.

Before joining PAH, Gabriela worked at another clinic where she was part of a team helping to fight the stray overpopulation crisis. That experience made her even more passionate about animal health and showed her just how much of a difference this work makes — both for pets and for the people who love them.

Gabriela is working toward a bachelor’s degree in Biology. Her goal is to continue on to vet school and eventually become a veterinarian.

“I’m really excited to keep learning and to get more hands-on experience with the amazing team here. In my free time, I love music, movies, going on hikes or to the beach, visiting animal shelters, and grubbing on a good meal!”
